Customer researcher | £25-40K + bonus + equity

We’re looking for a customer-centric researcher to scale our customer feedback and testing work. You’ll set up and own the feedback loops to keep the full team close to our customers, and continuously talk to customers about their challenges and how we can solve them.


Cleo has grown from 200,000 to 400,000 users in just four months, and as we continue to grow rapidly, we want to make sure the customer voice is at the heart of what we do - that’s why we need you.


What you’ll work on:

  • Keep the team constantly updated on what customers are saying: We get verbal feedback from customers constantly, and use this rich data to prioritise our work on the product. Gather and analysing this at scale, digging into trends and updating the team is core to this role.

  • Design and carrying out deeper research projects: In line with product design sprints, conduct specific pieces of research, through surveys, quantitative analysis, and new tools (see below) to identify key customer problems and potential solutions. Where you need support to build these skills, we’ll get you the training you need, from excel tips to learning SQL.

  • Find innovative ways to test our ideas at scale: We want you to talk to customers each week to test product, both in person, but also through innovative methods. Cleo is an AI interface based in Facebook Messenger - we have a huge opportunity to create new ways share and test product ideas and get feedback, and understand how customers are feeling. How can we make the most of it?

  • Be the go-to person for customer knowledge in the company: If anyone has a question, they know to seek you out first.

About you

  • At least 1 year of experience including qualitative and quantitative consumer research e.g., customer research agency, UX research, consulting.

  • 2.1 in a university degree, and a demonstrably analytical mind.

  • An interest in customer research and analytics.

  • Experienced in Excel, SQL, or excited to learn.

  • Good communicator with excellent written and spoken English.

  • Solid numeracy and statistical analysis understanding.
